Suspicion Occurs
When Cassio is denied with his music from Othello, he goes to Emilia and sends her to talk to Desdemona about getting his job back. After that happens, Iago takes this advantage when Othello asks him if he should trust Cassio. Iago tells him that Cassio is a lady's man and will get any girl he wants, even Desdemona. He uses this time to describe his thoughts on Cassio and Desdemona by telling him what he knows.
Chaos Will Come AgainOthello says that chaos will come again when he hears that Cassio might get close to his wife. Also, when Desdemona says that he should give Cassio another shot it makes him feel uneasy about them. He believes that she is the only one for him, and that his world will fall apart if she is not in it.
5 Most Important Qutoes" I’ll send her to you presently and I’ll devise a mean to draw the Moor out of the way, that your converse and business may be more free" (Act III, Scene 1). Iago is telling Cassio that he has a plan to distract Othello, so that Cassio can go talk to Desdemona about getting his job back. He wants to get Desdemona and Cassio alone to talk so that he can show Othello that they have something going on. Even though Cassio is asking for his job, it doesn't look good for him because he should've went to the Moor instead of going to his wife. It looks as if he is being secretive which attacks Othello's biggest insecurity.
"Tell me, Othello. I wonder in my soul what you would ask me that I should deny or stand so mamm'ring on. What? Michael Cassio that came a-wooing with you, and so many a time, when I have spoke of you dispraisingly, hath ta'en your part, to have so much to do to bring him in? Trust me, I could do much—" (Act III, Scene 3).Desdemona is telling Othello that if when he wants something from her, she has to obey him and wouldn't stand there and ponder about it. If she asks something of him, its different. He explains that Cassio has been nothing but honest and loyal to him. When she doubted Othello, Cassio would make sure that she knew what a great man he is and that she shouldn't have those doubts. She also asks why is it such a big deal to ask him this. This makes Othello think why does she care so much about getting his job back, that's all she saw him as.
Iago's Five Methods of Manipulation1. When Iago mentions he didn't know that Cassio and Desdemona talked. He starts to say something, and then he says that he should tell Othello anything. This makes Othello want to know what Iago has to say.
2. Iago say him that he thinks that there is something between Cassio and Desdemona, but he says that it can't be possible. This makes Othello ask him how Cassio is and if he is honest. 3. Then Iago says that since Cassio is his friend, he is honest. Othello wants to believe it. 4. Then Iago goes through the facts and says that men are men and every man should be what they seem but they are not. This gets Othello more suspicious. 5. Then Othello says that he is not jealous but when Iago says that it's worse to suspect and not knowing, than to know and catch them in the act. This gets Othello suspecting even more and angry. Hidden InsecurityJealousyAccording to Iago, the worst part of jealousy is suspecting but not knowing. Thinking that someone is being disloyal to you is horrible because you are not sure, but you believe it anyway. You want to question the idea that your mate is cheating on you.

Being CarefulIago uses words such as "indeed” “seems” and “think” because he wants to be careful in case his words get used against him. He wants to make sure that he can say; he was never sure and he never lied.
"Cassio, my lord? No, sure, I cannot think it

ReversalReversal in Act III is when Othello says that he will never change the way he thinks about her now. Since Iago put all of these assumptions in his head, he will to have revenge on her. He tells himself that he will not let her change his mind about the situation. Othello starts to transform into this insecure, weak person, and this starts to destroy him. He doesn't question Iago as much as he should. Iago attack on this insecurity and that is why Othello believes him.

Strange
Desdemona thinks that Othello has been acting strange because he doesn't accept her comfort with her handkerchief. It's not too long before he tells her that her handkerchief is too "little" and that his pain is too big for that gift to handle. He is angry at her because of his jealousy and his suspicion that she is lying to him. She doesn't know what to think but she respects him anyway.
